Out of the Box Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

ABOUT OUT OF THE BOX

The Out of the Box concept pushes individuals to keep an open mind in the fixed positions of  Brazilian Jiu-jitsu; not to be stuck in the "old school" ways of the sport. Most blue belts can show at least ten submissions from the top position, but are almost never able to successfully submit an opponent of equal stature by using them in a tournament or sparring match. It is Jake's philosophy that students should learn the key components of the submission and fixed positions in Jiu-jitsu in order to create new pathways to achieve the final goal: the submission of any opponent, regardless of experience.
